With just days remaining until the landmark 10th anniversary of World Wellness Weekend, global hospitality groups, tourism boards, municipal wellness networks, and local communities across more than 150 countries are putting the final touches on an unprecedented three-day celebration taking place from 18 to 20 September 2026.
What began a decade ago as an ambitious vision to democratize wellbeing has transformed into a truly worldwide movement. Marking its 10th milestone edition, World Wellness Weekend (WWW) 2026 bridges luxury thermal resorts and public parks, elite fitness clubs and trauma-sensitive community circles, proving that wellness has evolved from an exclusive luxury into a shared, fundamental human priority.
A Milestone Decade for Global Wellbeing
From 18 to 20 September 2026, thousands of participating venues will open their doors to offer free, experiential wellness sessions designed to inspire healthier, more balanced lifestyles. Spanning five core pillars—Sleep & Creativity, Nutrition & Immunity, Movement & Vitality, Mindfulness & Serenity, and Sense of Purpose & Solidarity—the 10th anniversary emphasizes accessibility, solidarity, and environmental stewardship.
International travel and tourism alliances, including Wellness in Travel & Tourism (WITT) and the Wellness Tourism Association (WTA), have joined hands with the initiative to integrate authentic wellbeing into the fabric of modern travel.
"Beyond design and marketing, what makes people want to return to a property dedicated to fitness, beauty, and tourism is the talent of the teams, their expertise, and their passion to care for people and deliver experiences rich in meaning and sensations, as transformative as possible," explains Jean-Guy de Gabriac, Founder of World Wellness Weekend.

In the United States, 278 venues are participating with endorsements from the International SPA Association (ISPA), Spa Industry Association, and Health & Fitness Association. Global hotel leaders—including Marriott International, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, Sofitel, and AIRE Ancient Baths—are offering restorative thermal journeys and functional mobility sessions.
In Mexico, more than 50 hotels in Quintana Roo alongside 12 Iberostar resorts are collaborating with tourism boards across Cancún, Yucatán, Isla Mujeres, Los Cabos, and Puerto Morelos to host beachside breathwork, Mayan-inspired rituals, and lagoon clean-up projects.
In the United Kingdom, 151 venues are active, highlighted by David Lloyd Clubs opening doors across 100 UK clubs and 50 European locations, alongside Aqua Sana Forest Spas, Aromatherapy Associates, and PURE Spa & Wellness.
Solidarity and Purpose: Wellness for All
A defining touchstone of the 10th anniversary is its commitment to healing communities facing adversity:
- France: Properties like Les Cures Marines de Trouville (MGallery), La Réserve Paris, and La Réserve Ramatuelle combine restorative guest programming with coastal restoration and tree planting. Molitor Paris MGallery is partnering with CAMI to offer specialized physical activity for individuals navigating cancer treatments.
- Colombia: The nature-focused "PACHAMAMA" initiative pairs mindful trail walking, thermal bathing, and sound therapy with charitable tree-planting, directing proceeds to children in the rural village of Payacal.
- Ukraine: At Maharaja Yoga & Spa in Kharkiv, practitioners are leading trauma-sensitive breathwork, Yoga Nidra, and restorative circles specifically designed for military veterans, displaced families, and war-affected communities, underscoring how wellness fosters solidarity and hope.
Personal Vitality Meets Planetary Care
Demonstrating that individual health cannot be separated from environmental health, World Wellness Weekend 2026 is aligning with World Cleanup Day ahead of 20 September. Participating resorts, fitness centers, and civic clubs are organizing community clean-ups across coastlines, riverbanks, and public parks, followed by guided mindfulness and breathwork sessions.
Additionally, a continuing collaboration with the Global Wellness Institute's Breathe Initiative provides open-access webinars and breathwork sessions exploring respiratory health, stress reduction, and peak performance.
