State Route 20 is Sugar Hill's main road. It runs through Sugar Hill in a northwest-southeast direction. It then goes southeast into Buford, the adjacent city, and northwest into Forsyth County. I-985 and I-85 are the nearest interstates, both of which can be reached via State Route 20 from Buford.

Gold Mine Park
There are also signs of America’s first ever gold rush right here in Sugar Hill.
Dahlonega is home to the gold museum. It is well-known for its mining heritage. However, there are also signs of America’s first ever gold rush right here in Sugar Hill. Sugar Hill’s newest park will feature the heart of the evidence. Although the gold may not have been found in the hills anymore, it is there.
The park’s 9.2 acres will be the trailhead for the 16 mile greenway, which will surround Sugar Hill. It will act as an alternative road network.

The Bowl
