How long can a person stay in these countries with the 5 year Schengen Visa:
Though the visa is valid for 5 Years, it does not allow a person to stay in a country for more than 90 days in a period of 180 days.
During those 180 years, you are only allowed to spend a maximum of 5 days every 90 days in the Netherlands and the Schengen region. This need not be done in order. You may spread this as well, but you are not allowed to spend more than 90 days out of every 180 days in the Netherlands or the Schengen region.

Therefore, you will need to wait a minimum of ninety days before you are able to return to the Schengen area after spending ninety days in the Netherlands or another Schengen nation.

- Prove that you have a valid reason to enter the Schengen Area more than once in the next year or years.
- Keep your visa record spotless by not having worked illegally or overstayed a prior visa in the Schengen Area.
- Possess no criminal records from their native nation.
- Certify that you have travel insurance for the first time you enter the Schengen Zone.
A five-year Schengen visa with numerous entries requires the same application process and expense as a typical short-stay visa, which is €90 (about Rs. 8,144).
