It is extremely diverse and includes both irrigated and unirrigated agricultural fields, mature longleaf pine stands, and the historic hunting lodge. Ashburn Hill has been a commercial quail hunting site for more than 40 years.

REED BINGHAM STATE PARK

The popular recreation area of Reed Bingham State Park lies between the counties lines of Colquitt & Cook Counties. The park covers 1,620 acres and includes a lake of 375 acres, a nature trail that runs 3.5 miles, which includes a pitcher plant swamp and other habitats typical of South Georgia. The public can use the park’s campgrounds, areas for fishing, boating and swimming as well as a mini golf course. To explore this lake, paddlers can rent kayaks or canoes.

TOM WHITE LINEAR BIKE TRAIL

There are 7.2 miles worth of trails for joggers, walkers, and cyclists that run from Downtown Moultrie to the community’s airport. The linear park was created as part of “Rails to Trails”. It replaces the old railroad tracks. This makes it a beautiful route for walking and biking enthusiasts of all ages.
