Introduction to Space Tourism in India starting next month by SpaceVIP
India now has access to space travel. Or rather, wealthy people can now embark on what are referred to as “luxury space adventures” to travel to space.
Next month, SpaceVIP, a US corporation that specializes in space missions, will begin offering its services in India. Only this business may transport customers to the International Space Station (ISS).
With the introduction of SpaceVIP in India, which will introduce this crucial space education curriculum, a new era is now beginning as a result of this progress. This programme intends to raise up a new generation of space enthusiasts, laying the foundation for a time when everyone is drawn to the universe. Additionally, it represents an important turning point in the business’s continued international expansion outside of American borders.

The New York-based company plans to provide a variety of space experiences, including zero-gravity flights that mimic lunar, martian, and zero-gravity environments, as well as space balloons similar to those provided by Space Perspective. The International Space Station (ISS) will also be a destination for its passengers. In response, the business released a statement announcing that customers in India will now have access to these opulent services.
Due to the country’s growing interest in space operations and the rise in HNIs, SpaceVIP has its sights set on the Indian market. The company has been closely following India’s recent successes in space research and education, such as the Chandrayaan-3 moon landing’s success and the recent launch of Aditya-L1 to the Sun’s outer atmosphere.
According to SpaceVIP, the goal of the organisation is to promote a culture of curiosity throughout the world and provide its customers a better understanding of the universe.
Additionally, tickets will be available for 11 other space flight programmes. According to reports, these programmes may be finished in a single day with no training, anticipating rapid ticket sales once regular flights start.
What exactly is SpaceVIP?
Early in 2021, Roman Chiporuka and Eddie Miller founded SpaceVIP. The only business that can transport customers to the International Space Station (ISS) is SpaceVIP, which specializes in remarkable experiences, travel, and events and serves as a conduit between the general public and the space sector.
Roman created history by organizing the final passenger’s flight on the first all-private space voyage to the International Space Station, a ticket costing US$50 million (INR 414.8 crore). He affirms that the company recognises the accelerating pace of private sector involvement in space, which is a catalyst for innovation to address the pressing global challenges across social, economic, and environmental domains. He is aware of the significance of space innovation in daily life (for example, technologies like GPS).
