  1. I grew up in Salinas, I relocated after 40yrs. It was a great place as a kid but really wasn’t a place to facilitate fun things as a kid. I had to go to Monterey, Carmel or Santa Cruz. Now there’s so much gang violence and it has become a bedroom community to Silicone Valley and with that real estate prices went through the roof. They have revitalized old town and it looks great.
