If cycling is your passion, then this tour package can be a great idea. The route is scenic and passes through amazing landscapes. Over the course of 10 days, we will cover Dharamshala, Baijnath, Barot, Mandi, Banjar, Jalori Pass, Narkanda and Shimla.

Day 01: Arrival Amritsar

Arrive at Amritsar International Airport,  our representative will meet and greet you and will assist you there, later board the vehicle and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Afternoon relax at the hotel and late evening we visit Golden Temple for the evening prayer ceremony. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 02: Amritsar – Dharamshala  (200 kms/ 05 hrs)(By Car)

This morning we will have breakfast and visit the glorious Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib and God’s Temple. It is an important place of worship and pilgrimage for members of the Sikh faith. It remains open to visitors and pilgrims alike 24 hours a day, all year round. The temple houses the sacred scripture of the Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib. Later we will drive to Dharamshala, also known as little Lhasa, has been the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Mc leodganj – Andretta – Baijnath (70 Kms/ Mix of Downhill/ Plains and Little Uphills)

We cycle towards Andretta (1100M) , a small village in the Kangra Valley; the road descends down from here towards Dharamsala. En-route we will visit Norbulingka Institute which is devoted to the preservation of the Tibetan culture in its literary and artistic forms. After the visit we continue our ride towards Andretta and the cycling is amazing today with no major ascents and descents; later we will reach Andretta, which is home to various art galleries and Pottery. After visiting Andretta, continue forward towards baijnath. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel/ guest house.

Day 04: Baijnath – Jogindernagar – Ghatasani – Barot (61 kms/ Mix of Downhill/ Plains and Little Uphills)

Morning after breakfast, we visit the famous ancient Baijnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva this temple was built in 13th century and in the porch of the temple, the two long inscriptions depict that there was a shrine of Lord Shiva existed at the present temple location and the structure of the temple is a good example of early medieval temple architecture known as Nagara style. Afterward we carry on cycling through the beautiful scenery of tea gardens, grazing buffaloes, wild forest and villagers working on the fields. Later we will reach Jogindernagar and continue towards Barot. The road route includes terraced fields and thick cedar forests, rising to Jhatingri at the hilltop. The remains of the summer palace of the former rulers of Mandi are located here.Through the little village of Tikkan, the road carries on to Barot. Overnight Hotel/ guest house.

Day 05: Barot – Ghatasani – Mandi (64 kms/ Mix of Downhill/ Plains and Little Uphills

Today we cycle towards the historic town of Mandi (750m) is a major city; we leave Kangra valley and will be riding towards Kullu valley and getting closer to the mountains with different topography and vegetation. Mandi is situated on the banks of the Beas River and also known as the “Kashi of the hills” for its famous old and new temples. The ride descends down towards a busier part of the Mandi town; we ride through the bustling market area of the Mandi and reach the hotel; later we explore the town and its famous temples. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 06: Mandi – Pandoh – Larji (45 kms/ Mix of Plains and Uphills)

Today we cycle towards Larji following the Beas River in the lower parts of Kullu Valley. The mountains rise steeply and we climb some steep parts of the route with terraced fields and the famous Kullu orchards beside us. The valley is covered with Pine and Deodar Forest. Later we reach Larji which is a famous spot for trout fishing and we cycle furthermore to our lodge where we stay for the night. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 07: Larji – Banjar – Shoja (40 Kms/ Moderate Uphill

In the morning we will have breakfast and set ourselves for the ride to another beautiful place Shoja (2692m). A picturesque village from where one can have the beautiful view of the valley, snow-capped peaks and meadows, and forest, rivers and streams. The ride goes through Great Himalayan National Park – home to bear, leopard, wild cats and surrounded by a forest of pine, oak, horse chestnut. On the way, we pass Banjar with its attractive wood-fronted shops lining the narrow street. From here the road goes up through the dense forest of deodar and leads us towards our next stopover Shoja village. Overnight at Hotel

Day 08: Shoja – Jalori Pass – Luhri – Sainj (45 Kms/ Steep Uphill {5-10 kms}/ Steep/ Moderate Downhill)

Today the ride becomes challenging as the road ascends towards Jalori Pass (3223m); we ride through a forest of fir, oaks, and rhododendrons as it takes us to the high point from where we can have a beautiful view of the snow- capped peaks. Slowly the climate also changes as we climb the steep stretch to reach the pass, we stop for some time at the pass and enjoy the beautiful vista. Then we cycle all the way downhill to Sainj via Luhri. Later we will reach our hotel and relax. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 09: Sainj – Kingal – Narkanda (35 Kms/ Moderate to Steep Uphill)

Morning we start cycling towards Narkanda (2700m) located on the Hindustan Tibet Road (National Highway – 22) and surrounded by the Shivalik Ranges; Narkanda is also a popular skiing destination. The route is ascending from here but loaded with breathtaking views so we have plenty of excuses to stop for photos on the way. Reach Narkanda and check-in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel

Day 10: Narkanda – Theog – Kufri – Shimla (65 Kms/ Mix of Downhill/ Plains and Little Uphills)PM: Drop Shimla – Chandigarh (by car) (120 kms/ 04 hrs)

This day the cycling would be smooth as we will pass through some villages and pine forest; the ride offers breathtaking views of the valley and snow -capped peaks. We descend down to reach Shimla where the cycling ends. Later pickup by car and travel to Chandigarh by car. On arrival drop at Chandigarh station/ airport for onwards journey.
