A passport is basically a formal document or certification issued by the  national government identifying a traveller as a citizen or national  with a right to protection while abroad and a right to return to the  country of citizenship.

A passport is very essential if we have to travel abroad.  Not all passports are the same, few are stronger compared to others.  Strong passports are those passports which provide extra benefits to  people and offer the greatest travel freedom.

Passports are ranked as strong and weak by HPI(The henley passport  index).

The weakest passports are those passports which do not offer the  greatest travel freedom.

In 2022 passports of Pakistan, Syria and Yemen are considered the  weakest passports in the world.

Why are these above-mentioned  passports considered the weakest  passports in the world in 2022?

Syria, Pakistan and Yemen offer visa-free travel to 29, 31 and 33  countries, this is one of the reasons why these nations have the weakest  passports as they provide visa-free travel to very less countries around  the globe.

And the second reason is that most developing countries usually tend to  have weak passports as they are struggling or recovering from political  and economic instabilities.
