United States Expands Connectivity: JetBlue Adds Daily Fort Lauderdale–Cleveland Service and Boosts Nine Routes from July 2026
JetBlue is expanding US domestic connectivity with a new daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport launching July 8, 2026, alongside frequency increases on nine existing routes.

JetBlue is opening a new daily nonstop corridor between Fort Lauderdale and Cleveland from July 8, 2026
JetBlue is strengthening domestic connectivity across the United States with the launch of a new daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), scheduled to begin July 8, 2026. Alongside the new Cleveland corridor, the carrier is boosting frequencies on nine existing routes from Fort Lauderdale — a move that underlines JetBlue's position as the largest carrier at FLL and its intention to hold that ground through the summer travel peak.
The expansion follows a standout 12 months at Fort Lauderdale that saw JetBlue launch service to 21 new cities and add nearly 32 additional daily departures from the airport, making FLL one of the airline's most active growth hubs in recent memory.
New Nonstop Service: Fort Lauderdale to Cleveland
The new daily FLL–CLE service is built around a schedule suited to both same-day and overnight travel. Outbound from Fort Lauderdale, the flight departs at 8:55 PM and touches down in Cleveland at 11:59 PM. The return from Cleveland departs at 8:00 AM, arriving back in Fort Lauderdale by 10:55 AM — a morning arrival that works cleanly for connecting onward to domestic or Caribbean destinations via FLL.
Tickets are available now on JetBlue's website and mobile app.
Nine Existing Routes Getting Frequency Upgrades
From July 9, 2026, JetBlue is adding capacity across nine established routes from Fort Lauderdale, directly responding to elevated leisure and business demand heading into the peak summer season:
| Destination | Added Frequency | New Daily Total |
|---|---|---|
| Atlanta, GA (ATL) | +1 daily | 4× daily |
| Aruba (AUA) | +4 weekly | 1× daily |
| Newark, NJ (EWR) | +1 daily | 4× daily |
| Jacksonville, FL (JAX) | +1 daily | 2× daily |
| Las Vegas, NV (LAS) | +1 daily | 3× daily |
| Norfolk, VA (ORF) | +2 weekly | 1× daily |
| Philadelphia, PA (PHL) | +1 daily | 3× daily |
| Santo Domingo, DR (SDQ) | +1 daily | 2× daily |
| St. Maarten (SXM) | +3 weekly | 1× daily |
The Caribbean frequency boosts — particularly Aruba, Santo Domingo, and St. Maarten — reflect JetBlue's continued push into sun-and-sea leisure markets where it has built a loyal customer base from South Florida.
TrueBlue Loyalty Promotion
JetBlue is rewarding early bookers with a targeted loyalty promotion. TrueBlue members who book between March 26 and March 29, 2026 will receive 2,500 bonus TrueBlue points on eligible flights. The offer applies to new bookings only, excludes Blue Basic fares, and points are credited after the completion of qualifying travel.
What Travelers Get Onboard
Passengers on the Fort Lauderdale–Cleveland route will access JetBlue's full standard product: free unlimited Fly-Fi inflight Wi-Fi, individual seatback entertainment screens, and complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the flight. For a sub-three-hour domestic sector, the product compares favorably with any carrier operating in that corridor.
Cleveland: The Midwest's Most Underrated City Break
Cleveland rarely tops domestic travel wishlists, but it consistently delivers for travelers who make the trip. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, set on the Lake Erie waterfront, is among the best music museums in the world. The West Side Market — a century-old covered market — offers one of the most authentic food experiences in the Midwest, reflecting the city's Eastern European immigrant heritage.
University Circle packs serious cultural weight into a walkable district: the Cleveland Museum of Art (free general admission), the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and Severance Music Center are all within easy reach. Sports fans have even more reason to visit — the Cleveland Guardians (MLB), Cleveland Browns (NFL), and Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) all play downtown, within walking distance of each other.
The dining scene has matured significantly. Great Lakes Brewing Co. anchors the craft beer scene, while Mabel's BBQ and Cordelia represent the city's range from casual to refined. Accommodation is well-priced by US standards, making Cleveland an accessible city-break option for South Florida residents seeking a weekend escape without the cost of New York or Chicago.
JetBlue's Fort Lauderdale Strategy
JetBlue's FLL expansion is deliberate and sustained. The airline's stated goal is to be the largest carrier at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, and each new route adds weight to that claim. The Cleveland launch opens a previously unserved nonstop corridor from FLL, adding a Midwest city that had no direct South Florida link — consistent with JetBlue's pattern of targeting routes where it can be the sole nonstop provider rather than entering crowded head-to-head competition.
With 21 city launches and 32 new daily departures from FLL in the past year alone, JetBlue's Fort Lauderdale operation is reshaping South Florida's air connectivity and offering travelers an increasingly compelling alternative to Miami International.
