  ├── Boeing 787-10 (14 Ordered) ─────► First Toronto Delivery Late 2026 (High-Density Long-Haul)

1. Airbus A321XLR Operations

Air Canada's A321XLR program includes 30 aircraft (15 direct purchase, 15 leased). Following its initial commercial entry on June 9, 2026, the 182-seat aircraft features 14 lie-flat Air Canada Signature Class suites and 168 Economy seats. The A321XLR's extended range enables thin long-haul routes (Oslo, Shannon, Basel, Tenerife) without deploying larger twin-aisle widebodies.

2. Widebody Fleet Expansion

  • Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners: 14 aircraft ordered, with the initial Toronto-based airframes expected by late 2026 to increase capacity on high-density transatlantic and Asian routes.
  • Airbus A350-1000: 8 aircraft committed for ultra-long-haul intercontinental routes.
  • Airbus A220-300: 65-aircraft domestic/transborder program, with 21 deliveries remaining.

Financial Performance & Q2 2026 Data
