The Chen Art Gallery is not just a gallery. It is also an art museum with a large collection of Chinese Art. The collection belonged to Dr. Tei Fu Chen who was a well-known herbalist and pharmacist. The Chen Art Gallery collection contains more than a thousand artifacts that cover five thousand years worth of Chinese history.
The Chen Art Gallery offers a unique and intimate view of Chinese history and art, including pottery, jade carvings, Buddhist statues, and pottery. To help visitors appreciate what they see, an experienced guide will lead them on a guided tour. Visitors are welcome to visit the gallery for free. Torrance Certified Farmers’ Market
Since 1985, the Torrance Certified Farmers Market has provided a great venue for merchants. It opened on Tuesdays. Although the Tuesday market is still open, it has been expanded to include a Saturday market. It is also known as the Community Meeting Place.
The market runs from 8am until 1pm and offers a great place to support local farmers while you shop for groceries, fresh herbs, coffee, and homemade pasta. You can buy fresh flowers, fresh baked goods, and a pot full of local honey for your home.
