Places to see in New York
#1 Central Park
Central Park is a vast area with enough sights and activities to keep visitors occupied for days, if not longer, even though it may be seen on a map as a tiny green spot within the grid of Manhattan streets. The park offers everything from magnificent buildings and tranquil gardens to skating rinks.
#2 Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
The Statue of Liberty situated in the United States is the most well-known monument, a welcome sign to millions of newcomers on their way to Ellis Island. A National Park Service-operated ferry connects Battery Park with the site, allowing visitors to see both spots at once.
#3 Times Square
Several weeks worth of attractions and activities in and around Times Square, but even a brief stopover to experience the massive energy is well worth the effort.
#4 Niagara Fall
Niagara Falls is a natural wonder of North America that draws millions of tourists each year. Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls are part of the same park, straddling Canada and the United States.
#5 Lake George
The southern end of a 32-mile-long lake named Lake George is home to Lake George Village, notable for its fishing and boating. The village becomes a significant tourist destination in the summer, while the lake is the main draw.
