The population of Miramar Beach was 6,146 at the 2010 census. Its location is close to Destin and offers a tranquil beach town feel while still being close to many activities. 

Miramar Beach was named after Michael and Marion Grimaldi, who envisioned a beachside town for retirees. Their daughter, Barbara, still lives here
