The Hart-Cluett Mansion can be found at 57 Second Street, Troy, New York, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on 23 June 1973. It has served as the main office for the Rensselaer County Historical Society since the 1950s. The Carr Building is next to it. It was built in 1827, most likely by Martin E. Thompson, an architect from New York City.
This Federal-style townhouse has limestone and decorated marble facing and is considered to be one of the most intact houses of that style in Troy. John Bard Colgrove built the house. He moved to Troy in 1826 to supervise the construction of Hart House. Colgrove constructed the first Rensselaer County Court House immediately after the Hart House was built. It was built as a gift to Betsey Howard Hart and Richard P. Hart by William Howard, a wealthy New York City merchant banker. The style is similar to modern mansions.

Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center, a non-profit educational institution that preserves and teaches the history and heritage of Waterford, NY. The museum is small and exhibit-based, located in the 1830 Greek Revival homestead at Hon. Hugh White.
All displays are available for guests to enjoy on the first floor. Single-use bathroom available. Accessible by appointment only. $5 per person. This is not a genealogy resource. A volunteer board and a part-time director manage the museum. We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm in visiting our museum.

Prospect Park #4
Prospect Park is a city park covering 80 acres in Troy, New York. It is located on Mount Ida’s top between Hill Street and Congress. Prospect Park was designed by Garnet Douglass Baltimore in 1903. He was the first African-American to graduate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institution. In 1897, he also designed the 200-acre Forest Park cemetery on Pinewood Ave in Troy. It is no longer in use and is far from its idyllic glory days. In the 1950s, the park began to decline and very little of Baltimore’s original work can be seen in it today.
Today, the park includes 14 tennis courts and 4 handball courts. There are also two basketball courts. A nature trail runs around the park, which has eight parking spaces. Uncle Sam Memorial is dedicated to Samuel Wilson, the landowner. The gazebo was open to the Hudson River and overlooked the city. The gazebo contained panels with patriotic words, including Honesty and Justice, Independence, Freedom, Freedom, and Faith.
