Arlington is located west of Dallas in Texas. It is an excellent example of Texas being more about the big and larger than life things. However, Arlington has a Texan-sized attitude that can match Fort Worth and Dallas.
It is home to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), which has a modern planetarium on its campus. River Legacy Parks has trails that cut through hardwood forests rich in wildlife. River Legacy Living Science Center is also located in the park. It features interactive exhibits, terrariums, and aquariums. Lake Arlington

Top O’Hill
Top O’Hill Terrace was also known as Vegas before Vegas, after it was purchased and opened a casino. A brothel was also located here. These structures remain today.
Tours of the casino building, stables, and other structures can be arranged by appointment. There is no limit to the size of a group, but everyone must contribute at least $5.
Arlington Museum of Art
The Museum of Art, located in downtown Arlington is the best place to see art collections, even better than those in Dallas or Fort Worth.
Even if you’ve been to the Museum of Art before, there are always new exhibits. Tickets are $8, and there are four floors of original and thought-provoking artwork.
Globe Life Park
Globe Life Park, while not as iconic as the AT&T Stadium’s architecture, is still a landmark. It is the home of the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Franchise.
The stadium has also hosted two World Series Championships and the all-star game in 1995. Every day in the off-season, tours of the stadium allow access to the backstage areas like the batting cages or press box.
International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame
In 2008, the Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame moved to Arlington. Although it may not seem like a great attraction for people who don’t bowl, you might be surprised at what’s on offer. The museum covers history starting at 5,000 years ago.
This is where, perhaps, the first documented evidence of the sport was found. The museum also explores the history of the game’s founding fathers and what the future may hold for the sport.
Carl Knox Jr Park
The 13-acre Carl Knox Jr Park provides a peaceful escape from the city’s neighborhoods and blocks of apartments. It is the ideal place to relax, play sports or soak up the sun. As you would expect, there are basketball courts.
