Turkey Swamp Park #1
Turkey Swamp Park, a 1,180-acre park located at the Pine Barrens, is home to many diverse habitats including the Manasquan and Toms River systems, as well as the Millstone River and Assunpink Creek.
"There are eight miles of hiking trails in the park, as well as two soccer fields, picnic areas, playgrounds and archery ranges. The surrounding waterways offer great opportunities for canoeing and kayaking, paddle-boating and row boating."
In the winter, ice skating is available on the lake. A seasonal campground offers 64 campsites with pull-throughs for tent campers, travel trailers, laundry facilities and bathrooms with hot showers. There are also two log cabins that can be used as overnight lodging.

Monmouth County Historical Association Museum #3
The Monmouth County Historical Association Museum houses the headquarters of the Monmouth County Historical Association, as well as an extensive research library. The elegant structure, which was designed by J. Hallam Conover in the early 1900s and constructed in the style of Mt. Vernon.

Covenhoven House, Freehold, New Jersey #4
Covenhoven house is a historical site in Freehold Borough, built by William A. Covenhoven (and Elizabeth Van Cleaf) in the mid-1700s. The impressive house was built by the same man who built Old Tennent Church. It is an example of how a wealthy local farmer lived during American Revolution.

Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County #5
The Monmouth County Jewish Heritage Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the County’s rich and unique Jewish heritage. The museum is located in an old barn that dates back to 1800s and was once part the Levi Solomon farm in Freehold Township.

Freehold Raceway #6
Freehold Raceway, a half-mile track in Freehold Borough, has hosted horse racing since 1830s. It is the oldest racetrack in the country.
Monmouth County Agricultural Society hosted the first ever annual fair featuring harness racing in 1853. Since then, the track has attracted many people to watch a variety of horse racing.
The annual Cane Pace, an annual harness race, has been a popular event over the years. It was the first leg of the Triple Crown of Harness Racing for Pacers.

Freehold Art Gallery is located in Historic Downtown Freehold Borough. It exhibits works by both established and emerging New Jersey artists in a range of media, including paintings, prints, photographs, maps, and documents. The gallery is located on the second floor in the former J.J. Newbury Co. Department Store.
