San Antonio Missions National Historical Park

San Antonio has many Missions to see. The best way to see them all is to take a trip to Missions National Historical Park. After living in constant fear from Apache raids, the Missions were founded in the early 1700s. They had to give up their old lives in order to accept the Mission.

Many parishioners are descendants of Mission Indians who built these churches. There are four magnificently preserved Missions that you can visit. All of them are free and offer a serene and contemplative atmosphere.
