Hueco Tanks State Historic Site
This historical site is called a Sacred Desert Sanctuary. Its name honors the fact that for thousands of years people have walked through these hills in order to collect rainwater from natural rock basins. Visitors can now hike, rock climb and observe nature. The park has an interpretive center, which is located in a historical ranch house. Guided and self-guided tours can be arranged from there. You can also find memorable gifts.
You can spend the night at any of the 20 campsites if the whole family loves camping. First, you should watch the video that explains how the park protects their delicate resources. You will need to bring your own supplies, as there aren’t any stores available.

El Paso Museum of Art
The Museum houses an array of unique and beautiful art. It also has some interesting hands-on activities for children! It was built in 1959 and attracts approximately 100,000 visitors each year.
There are always new exhibits that feature notable artists, so you will find something of interest every day. Kite-building workshops are a favorite attraction. Although admission is free, donations are appreciated.

Keystone Heritage Park and Botanical Gardens
Over 206 bird species have been found in the 52-acre Keystone Heritage Park and Desert Botanical Gardens. There are many other things to look at, such as the park’s Archeological Site and desert vegetation. These were discovered by the Corps of Engineers in late 1970s while they were building flood control dams.
A hut was found to be part of a larger village that was at least 4000 years old, which was far more fascinating. There are many things to do in the park that the whole family will enjoy.

Chamizal National Memorial
The memorial park covers 54.90 acres and serves primarily as a cultural centre. It includes a theater, art galleries, an amphitheatre, as well as a museum that traces the history of the U.S.-Mexico Border. The Chamizal Dispute is a peaceful settlement between the United States of America and Mexico.
It was a 100-year-old border dispute between the two countries that resulted in the (natural) alteration of the Rio Grande’s course between El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. You can find plenty of green space in the park for your children to play. There are also many cultural events throughout year, including Sunday concerts on Sunday evenings between June and August.

Wyler Aerial Tramway
The best way to see the city from high above is by taking a helicopter. The drive up the paved road through beautiful scenery will be half the fun. You can purchase tickets for the tramway, which takes you up the 2,600 feet long steel cable to reach the top of Rangers Peak.
This amazing ride takes just four minutes and includes a detailed narration by the cabin attendant who will point out all the cacti, wildlife, and bird life. The Peak is located at 5,632 feet above sea level. From here, you can enjoy the stunning view of 7,000 square miles which includes three states and two countries.

Downtown Artist and Farmer’s Market
You can visit the downtown farmer’s and art market every Saturday from 9am-1pm if you are in town. It was established in 2011, and is very popular with both locals and tourists who are interested in original art and crafts as well as local produce.
The market offers live entertainment by local artists. Your children will enjoy the vibrant sights and sounds and the many art activities (including face painting by real artists).

Bob-O’s has a great variety of entertainment and fun for all ages. There are many activities for kids, including Go Karts to Double Go Karts. A 18-hole miniature golf course has kiddie rides, dizzy drums, miniature Go Karts, and a small train.
