Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve
While this nature preserve may be considered one entity, it actually contains two parks. Lionel Hampton Park is named in honor of a local jazz musician, and Beecher Hills after the forested hills it surrounds. There are many hiking trails in the preserve. Unionist troops also created defensive ditches during the Civil War Battles of Ezra Church, Utoy Creek.
It is located between Six Flags Over Georgia, downtown Atlanta and beautiful streams.

Cochran Mill Park
They are home to nearly 30 km of multi-use trails, open to all, including trail runners, mountain bikers, horse riders, and trail runners.
Cochran Mill Park covers approximately 32 ha of wooded land and is situated on the banks of Chattahoochee. From the historic mills named after the park to the beautiful waterfalls, there’s plenty to do here no matter what season. The park also has an interpretative trail that explains the land’s history. The park can be reached by road in 15 minutes from Union City in Chattahoochee Hill.

The APEX Museum tells Atlanta’s story from the point of view of African-Americans. This is the largest group of residents in Union City. The museum is part of the US Civil Rights Trail. It’s located in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn neighborhood. While the site highlights the contribution of African-American pioneers, it also discusses the darker aspects of America’s past.

Candler Field Museum
