McDaniel Farm Park
Just 7.9 miles from Lilburn, McDaniel Farm Park offers a glimpse into Georgia’s farming history. The McDaniel family owned the former cotton farm from 1859 to 1999. Its origins date back to an 1820 land lottery buy. The McDaniel family lived off the land and produced everything they needed from the 125-acre parcel, including the timber for a farmhouse built in 1874.
You can see the original barn and well house, chicken coup and blacksmith shed, and a restored tenant farmer house. There is also a vegetable garden and flower garden. Take a picnic to explore the rolling hills, wooded trails and chirping birds.
