East Point is a suburban city southwest of Atlanta, Georgia. The population of East Point was 38,358 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from the city’s location on the opposite end of the former Atlanta & West Point Railroad. The city’s first residents inhabited the area during the 1880s.
However, today, the area is a major business center, and there are many restaurants and coffee shops. East Point is also a major college town, with a population of approximately 23,000 students. Starlight’s flea markets may have some food stalls but it cannot compete with the wide variety of foodstuffs that are available directly from East Point Farmers Market’s growers and producers.

Dick Lane Velodrome
It is located in East Point’s Sumner Park and has a concrete track bank 36deg that spans 300m in an amphitheatre-style arrangement.
The Dick Lane Velodrome was inspired by the 1972 Munich Olympics facilities in Germany. It was built in 1974. Regular races are held at the open-air Velodrome. College Park Golf Course
Despite being only nine holes long, its undulating fairway with raised greens makes it one of the most difficult courses in the Atlanta area.
The College Park golf course is located 2 miles south from East Point. It continues the sports theme but is a bit more peaceful than track cycling.
