Lost Mountain Park
It is a beautiful park that offers many things for families and couples. This park is a wonderful place to have fun! There are 8 softball fields, 1 baseball field, 2 football/soccer pitches, Ward Recreation Center and 3 concession buildings.
There are eight fields in the park, which can be combined into two hubs with press boxes and concessions, as well as football/lacrosse fields and football/lacrosse areas. The park also has walking trails, a pond and fishing lake. It also houses the West Cobb Senior Center, Boots Ward Recreation Center, and the Lost Mountain Tennis Center Program.

Cobb offers an outdoor pool and water park that are open in the summer months. These facilities are free to the public and require no admission fees. Season passes are also available.

Seven Springs Museum
The Seven Springs Museum is located in the renovated Bodiford House. It houses an exceptional collection of artifacts, photographs and documents that chronicle the history of the area. The museum is managed by volunteers from the Seven Springs Historical Society.
The museum currently displays the exhibits “Powder Springs has deep roots in it” (PDF) and “An Oral History Portrait Of An African American Community” (PDF). This exhibit tells the story of the historic neighborhood known as the flats. The museum is open to all and free of charge. The Welcome Kiosk offers information on attractions and activities as well as City trails.

In 1859, Powder Springs was given the name Springville. This name is derived from seven springs within the city limits. These springs contain 26 minerals which turn the surrounding sand black into gunpowder, hence Gunpowder Springs.
