Through this blog we shall highlight a small pakora and chai selling joint in Lal Sai Market. This place is sure to make you yummy in the tummy without leaving a hole in your pocket.
The name of the shop is Sindhi Pakore, it is next to the South Indian Cafe.
I also struck a conversation with the owner, Ram Surat. He greeted us with a smile and also told the history of this place. It was established 50 years ago and he has been so far doing decent business. People from different places and walks of life visit this place and also come back again. He also narrated how Pandemic caused by Corona Virus is affecting his business. The number of customers on a daily basis have gone down. It is overall seriously impacting the business so much so that it is becoming difficult to meet his daily expenses including education fees for his children also.
So let’s eat from this place to support him.

Entering the place, I ordered a plate of paneer pakoda and chai. I must confess they were some of the best that I have ever tasted. I also tried some other varieties like Samosa, Egg- Plant(Bhaingan Pakora), bread pakora etc. No prize for guessing which one is the best, all the varieties of snacks are equally good.

What’s so special about this place
I have been visiting this place for 10 years now I have stayed in this area and now that I have moved to Noida I realise how much I miss this place. The taste of the pakoras coupled with the humble nature of the owner made me drive to this place just to taste them again. During my visits to this place I have spoken to the customers and some of them have been coming since the inception. One old uncle with all the glee sipping a cup of tea and enjoying bread pakora said, this place has been operational for more than 50 years now and continues to serve the same pakoras and chai. Surprisingly, there is absolutely no change in the taste of the food; everything tastes as good as it did years back, when the shop first opened. I would sign off with this testimony by one of its very old customers.
I am sure after reading this blog the foodie in you must be calling you to explore the street food that Central Market area has to offer. So, why wait, head to Central Market, Delhi for your Food Bonanza.
