El Molino Viejo

El Molino Viejo (also known as The Old Mill) is an old grist mill located in San Rafael Hills, California. It was built by Father Jose Maria de Zalvidea, a member of the Mission San Gabriel Arcangel, in 1816. It is the oldest building commercial in Southern California and one of the ten first sites to be included on the National Register of Historic Places. The recognition was received in 1971.
