Depot Row
Depot Row is an historical site and museum. This is a great place to visit for railroad enthusiasts. It houses the Elberta Train Depot (from 1944), X556 Caboose and Mildred Country’s Store. It is listed on the National Register. Elberta Train Depot was constructed in the first World War era.
It is currently a transportation museum that traces the history of railways back to Wellston’s time and the roles they played in the development and construction of Robins Air Force Base and Warner Robins. Explore Georgia says Mildred’s Country Shop was one of the original buildings in Warner Robins.
It also serves as an antiques museum. The X556 Caboose, which was built in 1971, is a mini-museum that explains the history of the caboose before electronic devices were invented.
