The Strand is a paved path that runs along Hermosa’s beach, from Torrance Beach in California to Santa Monica. It’s approximately twenty-five miles north of Hermosa. The Hermosa Strand Pier is located at the end Pier Avenue. It is the area’s most popular shopping, dining, entertainment and entertainment areas.
The Hermosa Beach Pier

The Strand
The Strand is 22-miles of paved road that runs from Pacific Palisades (close by Santa Monica) to Torrance.
Hermosa Beach is responsible for about 1.5 miles of the section. The route can be walked, bailed or cycled as many times as you wish.
This refers to the 2 mile section that runs between Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach (four miles roundtrip). This is a great place to get out and about, as well as exercise. You can also eat and drink at either end of the walk.

Noble Park

The Hermosa Beach Historical Society & Museum displays memorabilia, and other objects that relate to the City of Hermosa Beach’s history. This museum explains how the city was involved in surfing culture, jazz in the South Bay, as well as the punk music movement.

The Greenbelt
The Greenbelt, or Veterans Parkway, is a 3 mile long path that runs from Hermosa Beach down to Manhattan Beach. If you are staying for more than a week, this shaded path with benches and picnic tables may be an option.
This walk is easy. It will take you past Manhattan Beach and Downtown Hermosa. Then, it will take you all the way to Manhattan Beach Village. The path follows Valley Drive.

The Lighthouse Cafe
Although the establishment’s name is Cafe, it was actually one of the most prominent West Coast Jazz clubs in the 50s and 70s. Many records have been recorded at this location. Live music is available every day. Details can be found on the website.

Gum Tree Shop & Café
Gum Tree provides sandwiches and salads with organic and local ingredients. The Aussie touch is in the chicken/chicken pies and flat whites. The coffee, chai lattes, lemonades, and lemonades are all delicious. This is a place I love and would highly recommend.
But that’s not all. The cafe is only one aspect of the business. You can find the best books, jewelry, cards, and accessories for your home at their store. Go to the store if you are in the area.
