Pharmacy Museum

Although a cemetery may not be on my list of must-sees in the usual way, cemeteries here are exceptional. They are also very different from what you will see elsewhere in the world.

Because of the high water table in the area, cemeteries are elevated above the ground. It is worth visiting if you have never seen such a type of cemetery before.

No. 1 at St. Louis Cemetery One of the most well-known cemeteries in South Carolina is the St. Louis Cemetery No. You’ll find over 100,000 former residents near the Hotel Monteleone. These include iconic figures such as Marie Laveau and Voodoo Queen.

Cafe du Monde

Cafe du Monde, one of the most popular spots in the city, is known for its cafe au leit and beignets (a deep-fried fritter-like pastry). You might also recognize the tins of coffee with chicory that are sold all over the country.

Their French Market location is beautiful, but you can also enjoy the goods at their cafe in City Park and the Mall. The same menu is available at all locations, with a slightly different atmosphere but the same delicious freshly baked delights.

Cafe du Monde is the best place to visit in New Orleans. It’s a good choice!

Garden District

Take in the beautiful architecture of the Garden District’s oak-lined streets.

Follow the Mardi gras parade route alongside the stately mansion and quaint collages, and then walk along Lafayette Cemetery. Magazine Street is a mix of bars, fine dining, and sidewalk cafes.

It is possible to spend an entire weekend exploring the Garden District. Plan ahead to ensure that you have enough time to take in everything.

Jazz Brunch at Commander’s Palace

A jazz brunch is one the best things you can do in NOLA.

This has been the place to go for Creole delights, world-class jazz and since 1880. They’ve been drawing foodies for more than 100 years.

They used to sneak alcohol into their grounds through a nearby cemetery during prohibition. They now have a 2,600-bottle wine collection. Their jazz shows are still electric and full of energy.

Come by the Jazz Brunch on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 2:45 pm or Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:45 pm.

The Sazerac House

You’ll find Sazerac House at the corner of Canal Street and Magazine Streets. It is just next to the spot where the original cafe stopped in the 1850s.

This is more than a coffeehouse. It also houses some of the most interesting bits of local history. Enjoy cocktails and a tour of the city, as well as interactive exhibits.

Antoine’s Restaurant

One the oldest family-owned restaurants in America, Antoine’s Restaurant was established in 1840.

Famous dishes such as Eggs Sardou and Oysters Rockefeller, pompano de papillote and Pigeonneaux Paradis are all based on this recipe. Antoine’s Cookbook is a fifth-generation cookbook that details hundreds of recipes that have been dazzling patrons for almost 200 years.

Visitors are drawn to the 25,000-bottle wine cellar and French-Creole cuisine. Here are famous faces such as Pope John Paul II, and more than a few US presidents.
